BLACK LABEL SOCIETY from Los Angeles, California has been founded in 1998 by Zakk Wylde, the guitarist from OZZY OSBOURNE (and shortly also BLACK SABBATH). They are playing a distinct version of blues-inspired Southern Rock with old-school metal influences. Anyone remotely familiar with the bands, in which Zakk plays the guitar, knows that this guy can shred. But who would have thought that this guy can sing also?
Anyway, the band has been around for 20 years now, and has just released its tenth album called ‘Grimmest Hits’, which - despite the name referencing some kind of greatest hits album - contains all new songs. So people, who want to shorten the wait for “Prince of Darkness” OZZY OSBOURNE’s return to Europe’s festival stages in the summer can buy themselves a ticket to see the legendary guitarist and his band perform live on stage in a medium-sized venue. And trust me: That’s much better than just staring at some video screen in a giant arena.
