Every year, when the nights get darker and colder, there is an uptick of gigs for with fitting music. 2018 is no exception, and Metalcore fans need to mark their calendars, as Pennsylvania’s finest, AUGUST BURNS RED, are coming to town, in this case Bochum. The band has been a flag bearer for this musical genre since their inception back in 2003.
Meanwhile, they have released their 8th album, ‘Phantom Anthem’, which critics have hailed as their heaviest, but yet most variable, yet. AUGUST BURNS RED are accompanied by two names resonating quite well in the metal world: WAGE WAR, BETRAYING THE MARTYRS. Especially WAGE WAR have left a lasting impression during their support tour for MOTIONLESS IN WHITE, and it is going to be a feast seeing them perform their neck breaking hymn ‘Stitch’ in the intimate venue Matrix.
