Last year’s crowning event with GARY NEWMAN closing the Gothic Festival 2009 gave rise to speculations as to how the organizers would intent to top such a spectacular event. Well, it’s not saying too much the line-up of this year’s edition of the Belgian festival is nothing short of impressing.

Fans of eclectic electronic sound will be pleased to hear, the busy COVENANT have added the festival to their schedule and surely won’t fall short of delivering some great moments for everyone. Some of Canada’s most prolific artists in electronic music have confirmed too with FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY and SKINNY PUPPY. Right on their heels are British martial soundscapers of IN THE NURSERY, a name foreshadowing an epic experience and one of the still rare performances of German veteran electro project YELWORC.

But the festival isn’t exclusively preserved to the electronic fraction and thus has in stock a lot more styles with for instance Goth Rock formation SEX GANG CHILDREN, the iconic FAITH & THE MUSE, or the acoustically-tinged, intimate vibes of VIC ANSELMO. If these are no reasons to do a little trip to Belgium in summer, then I guess a look at the lines below will do the trick:
