The career of VOLBEAT indeed can be compared to that one of a rising star. They appeared like out of thin air and with their first album, called 'The Strengths / The Sound / The Songs' they've established a monument for themselves when it got released back in 2005 in their native Denmark. Also their following second one 'Rock The Rebel / Metal The Devil' from 2007 came like a bombshell out of nowhere and strengthened the band's reputation as a force in the Rock scene to be reckoned with.
However it would be their third effort 'Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood' that would allow them to cross borders to the international league and to conquer other countries with their metal-tinged Rock'n'Roll and build an increasingly large following with their tunes and their passionate and energetic live shows they've gained much acclaim for. 2010 now marks the return of the Danish band with new material on their album 'Beyond Hell / Above Heaven' and that what is even more important here: An accompanying live tour which is going to lead them to Düsseldorf in November to rock Philipshalle to the ground.
