When in 2004 one of the spearheads of the post-grunge movement CREED parted ways with their singer, the remaining members enlisted a new singer and gave birth to ALTER BRIDGE, retaining the former bands sound to a certain extend while simultaneously adding a tinge of Blues and more metal, setting them apart from that band's sound. Their first album 'One Day Remains' instantly became a hit and helped getting them on larger tours instantly playing to huge audience.
Soon after finishing the tour to their debut, the band was going about producing and eventually releasing their second album 'Blackbird' in 2007 to even greater acclaim, and their touring schedule got, say, a little bigger by the time. With the reformation of CREED in 2009, there were rumours spreading that ALTER BRIDGE wouldn't continue to exit, but the guys made perfectly clear there was no intention of breaking-up and in 2010 they come around with their third 'AB III' stronger than ever and ready to hit the road to Germany again, one stop on which will include Cologne's E-Werk.
