Listening to their tunes doesn’t exactly give an implication of where a band is coming from. In case of STANFOUR it couldn’t be more far-fetched to locate them to America. The band’s been formed in Germany with two of the founding members being brothers Alex and Konstantin Rethwisch who’ve been living and working in America a while before the band started. There you have the reason for the American influences.
The second single ‘For All Lovers’ became one of the most-played songs on German radio and kind of the start for a series of successes that would include their two albums, the newest one being ‘Wild Life’, and them touring with big names such as JOHN FOGERTY, BRYAN ADAMS or A-HA. One day before St Nicholas day, the band will be bringing their widescreen, catchy rock sound to Dortmund to fairly rock the house.
Danish CARPARK NORTH will be their support, being in the business already since 1999 and having released four albums already, cultivating very special form of Synth-tinged rock music with a northern note and a great voice. Known for their energetic live performances, they sure as hell are the right choice to open the evening.
