Well, I think it is as redundant as anything to explain who PINK FLOYD are, so let’s switch over to what’s the meaning behind THE AUSTRALIAN PINK FLOYD SHOW. Back in 1988, a group of like-minded musicians came together in Australia to form a PINK FLOYD cover band. But not an ordinary one! Their goal is to play replications of the PINK FLOYD that are as close to the originals as it is possible extending to the visual replicas just as well.
The fact David Gilmour invited them to play at his 50th birthday in 1996 where they ended up doing a jam session, including some of the other members as well, can be regarded as hard proof of the quality work they deliver. Now it is 23 years since it all started and in early 2011 the band will set out to travel Germany again, playing 8 shows and on 22nd February the place to be is König-Pilsener Arena in Oberhausen. Don’t miss it!
