In May 2009, the time had come and the band around mastermind Chris Corner released their third album ‘Kingdom of Welcome Addiction’ following a three years long starving time of the fans for new material. The album saw them emphasizing the emotional face of the songs, additionally adding an increased organic feel to the electronic compositions. The following tour dates gave a visually impressing and exciting counterpart to those songs. At some point though, the time for Chris had come to retreat to the studio to begin working on the fourth record.
That is now done and considering what’s leaked in terms of information on ‘Volatile Times’ already we can expect a soul exorcism a la carte with the new material. Adding a proper live backdrop to new songs is always important and with IAMX a part of the whole, so, following the release of the album, the ‘Fire & Whispers’ tour is going to start and is expected to once more become a spectacle not to be missed.
