MEGAHERZ was founded in 1993 in Munich. The band is assigned to the Neue Deutsche Härte and influenced by bands like RAMMSTEIN, NINE INCH NAILS or also OOMPH!. Until 2003, foundation member Alexander “Alexx” Wesselsky was the singer of the band until he founded EISBRECHER together with the former MEGAHERZ keyboarder Jochen “Noel Pix” Seibert. Since 2007, Alexander “Lex” Wohnhaas is singer of MEGAHERZ.
Last year, the band published their first remix album 'Loblieder', on which such unique interpretations like '5. März' feat. STAUBKIND or 'Herzblut' feat. MONO INC. are represented. Now, MEGAHERZ are occupied in the new recording studio with the works on the next album which appears probably on the 14th October 2011. To celebrate this happy event properly, the band comes for a single headliner show to the Backstage in Munich on 15th of October 2011 before they will support SUBWAY TO SALLY on their winter tour!
