Matrix, Bochum, Germany
17th June 2011
Chameleons Vox
Their first album ‘Script Of The Bridge’ is considered one of the most important records in Post-Punk today, and also the following little list of albums found not a little list of appreciators today. Due to death of manager and friend Tony Fletcher, the band disbanded in 1987. A reunion took place but never reached the class of early times again.
THE CHAMELEONS original singer Mark Burgees starts anew with the CHAMELEONS VOX, adding original drummer Mark Lever and two new guitarists and a bassist to the line-up. Together they’re going to revisit the past with songs from ‘Script Of The Bridge’, What Dies Anything Mean, Basically’ and ‘Strange Times’ to bring back that very special spirit surrounding a kind of music that never has received the recognition it deserved. The evening at Bochum’s Matrix will be a re-visitation of the past with an eye on modernity. Don’t miss it.
