OOMPH! are pioneers, visionaries and artists. They went their own musical path for 25 years. The iron was not too hot to be stroke with their very special form of hard rock music. Their courage has been rewarded by both an own niche in-between Metal, Industrial, EBM and Gothic and gold and platinum records. The band from Brunswick celebrates its 25th birthday this year – with the new album ‘XXV’, released on July 31th, plus four jubilee concert shows in October.The first single taken from the album is named ‘Alles aus Liebe’ (‘Because of Love’) and is opened by beating sounds and a threatening morbid melody. The song kicks off by intense drums leading to a powerful sound setting of distorted guitars an synthesizers as keen as a razor. Dero’s powerful voice gets under your skin with a text describing pain and suffering. The tight rhymes take you by surprise while the refrain counteracts devotedly and gently. Beautiful and painful as love itself. Bombastic keyboard-eruptions build the ground for the romantic and emotional lyrics “everything because of loving her“. A tornado of emotions catches the listener for 3.5 minutes which represents a perfect quote for this manifold album.
The song was produced by OOMPH! themselves with the help of co-producer Simon Michael, drummer of SUBWAY TO SALLY. Vocals and drums were recorded at Great Hall Studio in Ebermannstadt, guitars an bass at their own Nagelstudio. That this song is even danceable will be proofed live on the release date of ‘XXV’, July 31th at Wacken Open Air (21 pm, Party Stage), where the new songs will be performed for their fans for the first time. OOMPH! will be on jubilee tour in October including four shows in Germany:
