SEADRAKE is the brand new Electro Pop “Super Group” consisting of the singer Hilton Theissen (Akanoid), the sound designer Mathias Thürk (ex-Minerve) and the bassist / keyboardist Rickard Gunnarsson (Lowe, Statemachine). Hilton, Rickard and Mathias met on their various tours, played together at festivals or worked together on remixes in different ways. Their shared desire for more cooperation eventually led to the founding of SEADRAKE. Already the sound of the first two promotional singles clearly showed the fresh musical potential of this new band and was described by the attentive press as a “dark driving Synth Pop with grooving bass lines and a pinch of rock”.With the release of the first official single, ‘Lower than this (Someday)’ feat. Frank M. Spinath (SEABOUND), the band could not only convince fans and press but also many national and international DJs. As a result, the single reached #4 in the German Electronic Web Charts (GEWC) and #12 in the Official German Alternative Charts (DAC). The eagerly awaited debut album ‘Isola’ will not only give the band the opportunity to establish themselves as serious newcomers in the Electro Pop area, but also to be able to appear as a promising live act.
