With the Stockholm Gothic Rock / Post Punk band THEN COMES SILENCE, one of the currently most important bands of their genre signed with Oblivion/SPV. The new studio album, ‘Machine’ is announced to be released on March 13, 2020. The first single of the album, ‘We Lose The Night’, is available as digital version from January 10, 2020, further singles will follow. Additionally, the band around singer/ bassist Alex Svenson will tour big short after the album release, and festivals like M’era Luna in August 2020 are on their agenda, too.Those big news comes along with the introduction of their new band members. Svenson and drummer Jonas Fransson are now accompanied by guitarists Mattias Ruejas Jonson and Hugo Zombie. Jonas comes from A PROJECTION; Zombie toured as guest musician with FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM and was member of the Spanish band LOS CARNICEROS DEL NORTE.
Svenson says about the contract signed with Oblivion/SPV: “As a band, you need partners who firmly believe in you. After Oblivion production manager Gero Herrde visited us during a performance at the New Waves Day in May 2019, we knew that he and his label will be best for us.” Herrde also is very satisfy with his latest signing: “For years, we followed the positive development of THEN COMES SILENCE with big interest, and we are pleased that they release their new album next March via Oblivion/SPV.”
