On February 14, 2025, Christian Schottstädt’s first solo album will finally be released - digitally, everywhere! After he’s been working on it for quite a while now, it should finally be on the table! The name of this baby, ‘Keyscene’, is a double meaning or ambiguity for certain key scenes in (musical) life as well as for the electronic keyboard music scene itself. He has chosen seven cover pieces for the “core” of the album. He also wrote and produced two short pieces of his own as openers and closers. The digital version will also contain three additional bonus tracks. They are all songs that have accompanied and touched Christian in their own way in his life and / or where he has had the privilege of meeting and getting to know the original artists. He wanted to lend all the songs his own melancholic, here and there minimal-cinematic signature and thus, take them out of what felt like a somewhat restrictive musical corner (typical of the Synth Pop scene). In a way, ‘Keyscene’ is subjective proof of the beautiful and touching songs behind the electronic productions. Christian very much hopes that he has succeeded.
Incidentally, all the original artists or songwriters (e.g. Camoufage, De/Vision, Mesh, S.P.O.C.K, Blind Passengers etc.) have given their personal OK and approval for the respective cover version. Christian is really pleased about that. The album will now be released in all major online stores on February 14, 2025, following the release of the two digital pre-singles ‘Foreigner’ and ‘Not Prepared’ including the corresponding videos. In addition, the album is available on CD, exclusively in the FORCED TO MODE fan shop and at Poponaut.de.
