‘Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!’ is the first single from the same-titled album of NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS the 14th album of the band. The album and also the single were recorded by Nick Cave, Mick Harvey, Warren Ellis, Martyn Casey, Jim Sclavunos, Thomas Wydler, James Johnston und Conway Savage at the State of the Ark Studio in London. The studio is the property of Terry Britton, the man behind Tina Turners hit “What’s Love Got to Do with It”. As chance would have it, Love rally had precious little to do with it, as ‘Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!’ is first of all the result of NICK CAVE’s longing, to escape his search for the “Classical Lovesong” and to explore abstract emotional territory.

‘Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!’ is the 14th studio album of NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS and will be released on 29th February 2008 via Mute. The album was produced by NICK CAVE and his band the Bad Seeds as well as Nick Launay, who also produced the predecessor ‘Abattoir Blues / The Lyre of Orpheus’.
