Sometimes when a great and promising collective of musicians disband they come back in another shape or way. When young and upcoming shooting stars MIDNIGHT PROPHECY disbanded in 2020 there was an uproar from fans around Europe but quite soon the new outlet for ex-MIDNIGHT PROPHECY musicians Craig Cairns (vocals), Sam Caldwell (drums) and Zach Salvini (guitars) TAILGUNNER made the news. This four track EP was engineered by ENFORCER’s Olof Wikstrand and you can hear and feel that in every second of this 16:17 playtime. Musically this is very similar to the sound of the artists former band: hard hitting, fast paced and energetic Heavy Metal that is clearly inspired by the legends of old. You should take this EP as a taste of things to come as these guys clearly aim for the throne of Heavy Metal yet to come. These guys are no “Guns for Hire” and truly bring the fire, quality-wise I am sure as fuck that this band is gonna come out top and don’t do a ‘Crashdive’ career-wise (OK enough of the ,tongue in cheek, dad jokes ). If you are looking for a band that is young fresh and clearly hungry you don’t have to look any farther, check this out!
Conclusion: British invasion 2.0, bring it on!
