Covenant
2021 has been another difficult year for the event industry. However, necessity is the mother of invention. Thus, we see new event formats and locations. Although I’ve visited numerous concerts in and around Hanover, I’ve never visited the beer garden of the sports club Hanover 78 before. Small stages and seated concerts are the new normal and totally fine for me these days.

Inertia - “Strange Daze Tour” - Support: Danse Society, Black Light Ascension, The Frixion
This tour was the first brave tour (within our scene) after the UK’s so called Freedom Day after Covid restrictions were lifted. I can only imagine the effort put in by all concerned, not knowing whether the tour would happen or not. I tip my hat to everybody that made this tour happen, very brave indeed. The tour has several dates, and I hope it gathers momentum to fully reward the effort. Also, a special mention to Electrowerkz, the home of the legendary Slimelight, their first tour event after not only Covid, but also the sad death of one of the founders. Rip Mak.

Die Fantastischen Vier - Strandkorb Open Air 2021
A “sunny day” in Mönchengladbach and the Sparkassenpark with the beach chairs is the best place for fantastic music. Two days in a row, DIE FANTASTISCHEN VIER visited this location again to present perfect German Hip-Hop. Anyone who hears the name of the band DIE FANTASTISCHEN VIER outside of the German-speaking area directly thinks of superheroes. But the FANTA4, called by the beloved fans, are the most successful Hip-Hop group in Germany, founded 1989 in Stuttgart / Germany by Smudo (Michael Bernd Schmidt), Thomas D. (Thomas Dürr), Dee Jot Hausmarke (Michi Beck) and the man behind the turntables, And.Ypsilon (Andreas Rieke).
