Sum 41 - “Order In Decline” World Tour
The Canadian Punk rockers SUM 41 were guests at Luxexpo The Box on Wednesday evening and had a new album in their luggage. Their almost three-year world tour ended in late summer 2018 and after that they went back to the studio. And finally the album ‘Order in Decline’ was released in summer 2019, which is one of the albums in which most of Whibley’s heart and soul has gone into. And probably also the most honest and personal album.

Aesthetic Perfection - “Into The Black” Tour 2020
AESTHETIC PERFECTION had to reschedule their Hamburg show from October 2019 due to health issues and so we finally got to see them again in January 2020, about 2.5 months later. While of course being sad about the cancellation on the one hand (with full understanding, health should always be priority), we actually just stretched the anticipation forward the show and got rewarded with an engaging sold-out gig at the atmospheric Bahnhof Pauli last Saturday night.

Diary Of Dreams - ‘Hell in Eden’ Tour - Support: Us
So here we are. After three weeks without concerts it was time for some of us to attend the first concert of the year 2020. What a crazy year number, isn’t it? Almost half of January is over and I am still trying to get used to write it. Still failing sometimes, but things are getting better. Anyway, to start 2020 music-wise with DIARY OF DREAMS and their special guests US was something I was really looking forward to. DIARY OF DREAMS as the band that has been one of my favourite bands for over 15 years now and US who absolutely flashed me and many others during the mini tour last October. So visiting Wiesbaden was the plan for the second weekend in January.

Deviant UK and AlterRed - Double Headliner one off show - Support: Berlyn Trilogy
For the last couple of decades, a Goth night called “Carpe Noctum” has shone the lantern of Goth in Leeds, a city some would argue was the centre of the Goth Universe in the 80s. The organiser is a well-known figure on the scene and has worked hard to build the reputation of “Carpe Noctum” - so much so he has guest DJ sets at other prime UK Goth events such as the Whitby Weekends. Both headline bands, and the support are all good friends. Musically they have one common driving force; dark electronics - but perhaps particularly the legend that is GARY NUMAN.
