Anaheim Sleaze Rock outfit BUCKCHERRY have done it again, after their last record ‘All Night Long’ which landed on position 10 of the Billboard 200 chart in 2010, they again put out a great record. The band exists since 1995 and their discography contains six albums and a best off release. The band had many personal changes during the years and even was put on hiatus from 2002 – 2005. The band returned with a bang, a new record and a few new hits the most popular of them called ‘Crazy Bitch’. BUCKCHERRY managed to keep their career steady since then except for some small troubles. So now to my description of the new material. Personally I really like their new stuff, okay it sound like old stuff but that’s a good thing with some bands.
If you`re into BUCKCHERRY or sleazy rock music at all you will be instantly in love with songs like ‘Gluttony’ or ‘Nothing left but Tears’ for they are very catchy in a good way, pure earworm material. With this record the band continues their solid work and in my honest opinion has a chance to score some more fans if they just get the airplay they deserve. So what else is there to say? For this review I did a little experiment and listened to BUCKCHERRY’s ‘Confession’ and their recently released best of record for hours on end and I can honestly say that I won`t tire to listen to them. The material is fresh and straight forward and examines the seven capital sins as a concept. Not to mention the other six songs which are autonomous from the rest. The band again did a great job musically and this record demands listening to a few more times to fully appreciate the songs.
