CURIOUS started in 1999 as a THE CURE cover band, but soon started composing own songs. After the self-produced EP ‘Falling’ in 2002, the band released their debut ‘The Intimate Stranger’ in 2004 which is sold-out by now. ‘Days’ is an appetizer’ for the upcoming second album ‘Arrhythmia’.
They really can’t deny their sonic relation to THE CURE, the dense atmosphere, the pleading guitars penetrating them, all trademarks. Nevertheless everything sounds very fresh and unconsumed and also Olli’s voice is never in danger of being confused with the one of Robert Smith. That’s hard anyway. A song like the title track could be used in one or another club, I admit whereas ‘Mary J.’ should be strictly limited for home use. A nice little appetizer we got served here and you can already be curious about the upcoming second album
