“The Voice” Johan Damm is back! AGREZZIOR is a new EBM project consisting of members Rob (Guerrilla), Johan Damm (former Menticide / Dupont), Jeppe & Mika (Autodafeh). The ideas about the project started in mid 008 when the guys helped each other with miscellaneous stuff. Now 2010, they have released their debut CD ‘Domination’ on Infacted Recordings. 13 tracks of brutal EBM…
Without any doubt, this project and this release bring together a lot of brilliant characters that are influencing the genre nowadays. Unfortunately in my eyes, that doesn’t guarantee the best album by then… Although the song structures and compositions are straight and pure Old-School EBM and therefore leave nothing to be desired, the complete work seems to be similar anyhow. For sure there will be club hits somehow, but while listening to the complete release, the titles are too predictable…
But the most annoying parts in my opinion are the vocals itself. May it be that Johan Van Damm is called “The Voice” and honoured, but the variety of his shouting is more or less not remarkable. If that’s what EBM in year 2010 should sound like, then I’m really not into it… sorry!
