The DEAD HAND PROJEKT is a relatively new band (it was formed in 2010), which after a rather successful self-titled full length CD, decided to release this EP in anticipation of their newest release around October this year. The best reason to buy this CD is its only memorable moment of ‘Dejected’ that keeps all the danceable and aggressive parameters of the songs in the Industrial scene. ‘Horror’ is quite danceable having at the same time the best lyrics of this CD. As for the rest two songs the band keeps the negative aspects of the genre as hidden treasures of stale déjà vu originality which blends them with their own ideas; the result is harshly unbalanced. I had the feeling of an overrated aggression which is placed there only to exploit the expectations. And the lyrics are following the same pattern: “fuck you all I’m so cool and great, shut the fuck up why don’t you shut the fuck up, I’m dejected but you’re all jerks and shut the fuck up”... boring bravura of a wannabe electro John Wayne. Maybe when they grow up they’ll write something better. For now, they can send their songs to other bands for superb results.
