Single Review
Not very often these days you will see a new single. Mostly recommended was an EP or maxi-single to release something new. So I was a bit surprised when I got this single with just two songs. Respect to the band for so much self-esteem. But this could be a first shoot for a forthcoming album. So we may have to talk about these two songs from Finland, the home country of them. Just like they say, they are playing a mix of electro pop with retro-elements that may be called low-fi, synth sounds from elder analogue synthesizers and sweet female voice combined with electronic dance beats, maybe more pop songs then than dark electro. But bittersweet enough to think about New-Wave bands like X-Mal Deutschland, which has been really successful in the late eighties / early nineties.
Both songs a living from the voice of Salla. Spherical sounds and just a view pointed beats. Even song one is a bit faster than song two and also more playful. It got some more of these special synth sounds. After the third listening it will be nice, not even nice like your granny, no. Its lyrics are bittersweet too. Love and lost. That’s it. They got self-esteem. And now I know why. Maybe a third or fourth song would destroy my opinion to that CD/Single. But if there will come something new, I will spend some time to it. Even to withdraw or to underline my opinion.
