Album Review
Tom Fuller on his third album, ‘Ask’, was as it seems influenced by Hollywood’s romantic comedies whose magnitude of nonsense is analogously connected with the box office. It is interesting that Tom Fuller is addressing, musically speaking, adolescent Mormons or the ones who have their mentality and who haven’t heard the word “sex” in their lives. And that’s the problem with this CD; it has bad taste. And it is uninspired. If this is categorised as “Rock” it would be only due to the watering down of the Rock music from the boring musicians and their acolytes. What you have here are sugary rocks that will put into danger only the diabetics. Maybe some songs will become potential hits like ‘Ask’ or ‘Merci Beaucoup’ but that’s something that needs mass psychology evaluation and not a music review. In all honesty this CD should be called ‘Hot Air Balloon’. Or a flask.
