Autumn Moon festival Day 1: Serenity, Qntal, In Strict Confidence, Cultus Ferox, Megaherz, Omnia, Tying Tiffany, Monica Jeffries, Deine Lakaien
The premiere of the exceptional Autumn Moon Festival was a great success. The visitors were pleased and the spirit was joyous. Besides the band performances the audience praised the special atmosphere the most – many artists and a huge amount of programme items like theatre, readings, live painting, fire shows and dance performances at the three locations (Rattenfängerhalle, Sumpfblume and the ship Hameln) and the Mystic Halloween Market made the event something extraordinary. Especially on Saturday all venues were packed with people celebrating the festival and Halloween.

Festival Day: Eisfabrik, T.O.Y., Mesh, Anne Clark, Covenant
You might have already seen pictures of the fourth Gothic meets Klassik Festival on some photographers' websites. Certainly, the first video clips are circulating, or your friends told you about it and now you're vexed about having missed out on the event. And there's reason to fret for the line-up was grandiose. Next to EISFABRIK, T.O.Y., MESH, and ANNE CLARK the Swedes from COVENANT together with Daniel Myer appeared as guests at the Haus Auensee in Leipzig putting the audience in the mood for dancing. For those who have never heard of this festival: On one of the two festival evenings you can listen to electronic sounds, while on the other, some bands are accompanied by the marvellous symphony orchestra from Zielona Góra, Poland.

Chase the Ace & Michael Monroe & Hardcore Superstar
On October 20th, in the very heart of Frankfurt’s downtown and just a few steps away from the city’s busy shopping mile Zeil, we hit the ZOOM, a small club for both parties and occasional concerts, to witness the rock spectacle of this fall: the co-headlining tour of HARDCORE SUPERSTAR and the mighty MICHAEL MONROE, former singer of HANOI ROCKS. Support on this still ongoing tour is CHASE THE ACE from Tel Aviv.

26th October 2015
Sòlstafir, Mono, The Ocean
If it was up to me, we can make this a permanent thing: On October 26th, every second year, SÒLSTAFIR play a gig somewhere and I simply join in. Compared to a Helsinki show in 2013, the venue can be somewhat closer to home as, for example, Cologne this year. Although, there's actually nothing to sneeze at a short trip to an exciting part of Europe... However, unlike in the Finnish capital, at the river Rhine in Cologne I saved a trip to the local church and drove directly to the Live Music Hall, where on this Monday evening musical guests from Berlin (THE OCEAN), Tokyo (MONO), and SÒLSTAFIR from Reykjavik romped around. Aðalbjörn Tryggvason, the only remaining founding member, has made music with SÒLSTAFIR for twenty years now. Their tunes evolved over time from Viking Metal to incredible, atmospheric Post Metal. In 2002, guitarist Sæþór Maríus Sæþórsson and bassist Svavar Austman Traustaso became part of the band. A few months ago, drummer Guðmundur Óli Pálmason was also among them, however, not being of the party anymore he was replaced by a person unfamiliar to me.
