De/Vision & Waiting For Words
Having missed the recent “We Love Synthpop Festival” in Oberhausen, I promised myself I will take the next opportunity to see by myself if WAITING FOR WORDS live reputation of performers was that deserved. Seeing that the French duet was on top of that sharing the stage with the cult DE/VISION for the last date of their “Rocket And Swords” tour, I spent days to catch the best plane tickets to Paris. It was with great pleasure I could make it and here I am in this very nice venue named La Scène Bastille. We must be around 150 people in the club when lights shut down and the intro of WAITING FOR WORDS starts...

Paaspop Day 3: Kvelertak, Peter Pan Speedrock, Dope DOD, La Pegatina, Wendy McNeill and The Gaslight Anthem, Death Angel
After two days of music and party, and an hour missing because of summertime (ouch!), Paaspop took a little longer to get started on Sunday. Today had more rock, rap, pop dance and of course more metal on the program, as well as some singer songwriting projects and activities the crowd could join in such as Hardrock Karaoke.

Selig - Magma Tour 2013
Hamburg based Rock band SELIG was founded in 1992. In the 20th year of its existence, they now delivered with ‘Magma’ an album being lyrically very clever and ironic at the same time - it is a modern, fresh and vital album, meeting the perfectly the spirit of the times and at the same time it is an angry but also introspective monster. Somehow, we are in the period of “post-reunion” in the SELIG history. Now, the German rockers are presenting the new album to the public. SELIG is Jan Plewka (vocals), Christian Neander (guitar), Leo Schmidthals (bass), Stephan –“Stoppel” Eggert (drums) and Malte Neumann (keyboards). http://www.selig.eu / https://www.facebook.com/seligmusik

Paaspop Day 2: Gojira, Epica, Testament, Solstafir
The second day of Paaspop had a lot to offer for lovers of rock and metal with bands like GOJIRA, EPICA and TESTAMENT. But the overall program has something for everyone from dance, to hip-hop, folk, indie and loads of Dutch bands. Furthermore, the festival area has numerous little corners and tents to explore with all kinds of activities from art, tattoos, haircuts, but also little markets, mobile DJ’s, tiny techno disco’s, little handicraft workshops and even a bowling area and much more. Today also had the Dutch championship stagediving on program, definitely something I had to go and check out. Fortunately, the crowd did not really seem bothered much by the cold, well dressed with hats and gloves. Still, I was quite happy driving home in the evening and not having to spend the night camping – respect for those who did!
