Schneewittchen
SCHNEEWITTCHEN is one of the most interesting German alternative bands. Marianne Isar (vocals) and Thomas Duda (instrumentals) started to make music together in Hildesheim in 1996 using simply their names as a band name. In 2000, they choose the name SCHNEEWITTCHEN (snow white), a name of an old German fairy tale, for their band project. They mix successfully elements of very different styles, and as per their own disclosure, they are influenced both by the classical German songs written by Schubert and Schumann and by the French chanson, but also by Punk and other styles. When SCHNEEWITTCHEN was still simply “Marianne Isar & Thomas Duda”, they used to play at cabarets, but after a few years they changed and started to perform at concert halls, music festivals and street fests, gaining in popularity every year. www.schneewittchenmusik.de

Peter Gabriel & The New Blood Orchestra
PETER GABRIEL is an English musician and video-artist. He was known in the 1970s as front man and foundation member of the band GENESIS. After he left GENESIS in 1975 he began a very successful solo career. For his music, which cannot really be assigned to one style direction only since it is rather a mixture of Pop, Rock, New Age and clear influences of World Music, he received numerous prices. Also PETER GABRIEL is a great fighter for human rights, working with Amnesty International among others. Following his mammoth project ‘Scratch My Back’, primarily containing other artists cover versions of his songs; he took the next step with the second part ‘New Blood’ where he would present his takes on other people’s songs with an orchestra. Of course, this screamed for a live presentation, one of which we were lucky enough to get a chance to see for you in Oberhausen. http://www.petergabriel.com/ / http://www.facebook.com/PeterGabriel

Judas Priest & Thin Lizzy
Few metal rock bands make it big. Even fewer make it big and become legends. Even fewer still are able to maintain their legendary “metal god” status for over four decades and still continue to tour, sell out and play their shows with the fresh enthusiasm that they had when they first started out. JUDAS PRIEST has been there and done all that and then some. JUDAS PRIEST, the style-defining band from Birmingham, became the spearhead of “New Wave of British Heavy Metal” with their successful album ‘British Steel’. With their classics ‘Breaking the Law’, ‘Metal Gods’ or ‘Living After Midnight’, the band established as queen of the British Heavy-Metal scene. Now, JUDAS PRIEST are saying goodbye after 40 successful concert years with the “Epitaph Farewell Tour 2012”. We took the chance to see the band, supported by THIN LIZZY, in Münster.
