With many festivals all over Europe being cancelled again in 2021, Tuska Festival in Helsinki might become one of the last places for Metalheads to have a good weekend of heavy music in 2021. As one of the oldest Metal festivals in Finland, it feels a bit like coming home to your extended family and discover a few new bands in the genre while enjoying legendary Metal bands as well. So, mark the first weekend in July for a trip to Helsinki, to visit with Tuska Open Air.

As it often seems modern Rock music has lost its sense of palpable danger and mystique, Finnish dark Occult Rock act CVLT OV THE SVN marks its return in full force with their grim, addictive first full length, ‘We Are The Dragon’. An ode to the darkest night of the year - KÆLAN MIKLA exhibits artistic and musical growth with their new single ‘Sólstöður’. This is the first song we hear from them since they released their third and most successful record yet, ‘Nótt eftir nótt’ in 2018, and it’s been worth the wait. The track begins in a sombre register, with a beautiful melodic vocal eventually giving way to a darker side, complete with nightmarish screams, and a droning synth-backed chorus. - Details
