THE 69 EYES released their apocalyptically titled new album ‘West End’ last fall and started their all year lasting 30th anniversary world tour. Next week, on Friday June 26th, they will be celebrating their three decades by streaming a live show from Helsinki, at 19:00 (BST) and today, they reveal a new video for the song ‘Change’. “THE 69 EYES was on our 30th anniversary tour earlier this year, in the USA, the Baltics, Ukraine and Russia until the pandemic hit. For the Corona-cancelled editions of the Hurricane and Southside Festival in June 2020, more than 100,000 guests have already had their tickets rewritten for the coming year. “This number overwhelms us and gives us strength in this time, which is not easy for the entire event industry and encourages us a lot,” says Folkert Koopmans, Managing Director of FKP Scorpio and organizer of the two festivals, about his mood and that of the whole team. Dutch daredevils DOOL will embark on a joint headlining tour with German stalwarts SECRETS OF THE MOON for 16 concerts throughout Europe in February and March 2021. Says the band, “After having to cancel our album release tour last April, we did not sulk in ‘what-could-have-been’. We made the best out of a bad situation, resulting now in a double-bill EU tour with our label buddies and friends, the illustrious SECRETS OF THE MOON. Honestly, this couldn’t have turned out any better and we can’t wait to share Summerland with you on stage. The time has come: ‘Haunted’ is another milestone for THE OTHER equalling ‘We Are Who We Eat’ and it will significantly influence the years to come for the band. “It’s the classic paradox,” says vocalist Rod and laughs. “We’ve taken one step forward while looking back.
