Good news for all guests of Europe’s largest Gothic festival: All confirmed acts, including ASP, DANZIG and THE SISTERS OF MERCY, have confirmed their participation for the edition of the coming year. With ‘Zero Gravity’ MASSIV IN MENSCH, together with the trained soprano Rana Arborea, release an impressive vocal cover version. The original of the Australian singer Kate Miller-Heidke became known through last year’s Eurovision Song Contest. In contrast, MASSIV IN MENSCH relies even more on catchiness and electronic rhythm. The foundation stone for the band JOYCE was laid when the songwriter Jody moved from London to Berlin to join his old friend and guitarist Nikolas. Shortly afterwards, Alessandro (drummer) and Igor (bassist) were added to the line-up and the band won several competitions in their north-east Italian homeland. JOYCE combines distorted strings, gentle guitar phrases and catchy melodies to create a euphonic abreaction and is determined to overcome her own origins.
