She Past Away - Beach Chair Concert

Founded in Turkey in 2006, the band now consists of the band members Volkan Caner and Doruk Öztürkcan. For SHE PAST AWAY it quickly became clear that their songs would be performed in their mother tongue Turkish. They experiment with old and new “synth music” aesthetics that they incorporate into their guitar core sound. In this way, SHE PAST AWAY has created a new sound, an attitude and a sensibility, which is complemented by a minimalist sung poetry in Turkish and which puts the listener on an atmospheric continuously ongoing, epic trip - both through her albums and through her live performance. With guitar, synthesizer, drum computer and the quiet dark vocals of Volkan Caner, they remind you of some well-known bands, but the music of SHE PAST AWAY is still independent and interesting.

‘The Fireside Sessions’ was written and recorded during the lockdown and will be released on August 21. The EP consists of five songs written with the band’s fans during a series of streams on Instagram Live entitled “Saturday Songwrite”. As a bow to this collaboration, ‘The Fireside Sessions’ will be released under the banner of SNOW PATROL AND THE SATURDAY SONGWRITERS. The EP was produced by Iain Archer. It will be released digitally and on CD. Prior to the EP release there was the single release of ‘Reaching Out To You’ on July 30th.- Details

Iceland post rock outfit SÓLSTAFIR are now announcing the details for their new album ‘Endless Twilight of Codependent Love’. The record will be released on November 6, via Season of Mist. The cover artwork (The painting is a watercolour of the Lady of the Mountain, 1864, by Johann Baptist Zwecker) and track list can be found below. ‘Endless Twilight of Codependent Love’ was recorded at the Sundlaugin Studio (Iceland), where ‘Svartir Sandar’, ‘Ótta’ and ‘Berdreyminn’ were also recorded by producer Birgir Jón Birgisson (Sigur Rós, Alcest, Damien Rice). LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE had planned several concerts for 2020 after a fantastic tour with THE 69 EYES in November 2019.
