As NINA HAGEN last published a new piece in September 2020 with ‘Unity’, the next title will be released on January 28th, 2022. It goes by the name ‘Shadrack’ and is nothing less than a kind of Electrofunk Gospel, erratic and straight forward at the same time, as only Nina Hagen can do. Nina Hagen says: “Throughout my lifetime on earth I have observed over and over again how unfortunately all too many people do not waste a ‘bit’ of time working for a more socially just world, being idolized by excessive wealth, money and property, are downright obsessed with it and don’t give a damn about the ‘big picture’, about eternal life, about the dimension that will follow the present one.”And continues: “I sing gospel songs as an invitation to all of us, the earthly and the mortal, especially the snooty and the haughty, in the hope that we will all be inspired by the beauty and the power of love: charity that can strengthen and inspire us to work together here and now for a more just and humane world.”
