New Waves Day 2020 with DAF, Chameleons Vox, Gene Loves Jezebel, Blancmange and more

Attention: Due to the Corona pandemic, this event is cancelled and will be rescheduled. A new date is not set yet.

After three editions, the New Waves Day festival is established. The New Waves Day celebrated its outstanding premiere in Oberhausen in 2017 and brought scene heroes like THE MISSION to the stage in front of thousands of fans. On May 26, 2018, the second editions took place with headlines FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM. Third edition followed on May 18, 2019 with a fabulous headlining show of PETER HOOK & THE LIGHT and this year, the organizers will once more present a line-up which will make every fan of the alternative 80s into raptures. Pop & Wave meets Punk and Industrial.

Songs like ‘Teardrop’, ‘Unfinished Sympathy’, ‘Karmacoma’ or even the relatively young ‘The Spoils’ are timeless classics. Then as now, the powerful, heavy, and clever tracks of MASSIVE ATTACK make a persistent impression. The live shows of the past years have contributed to that fact. Robert “3D” Del Naja and Grantley Evan Marshall aka Daddy G - the only remaining founding members of the band from Bristol - release new music very selectively, but with their live shows, they manage to blew away the audience and to add new power to their songs.

Sting - “My Songs” Tour 2023

Attention: Due to the Corona pandemic, this concert is postponed from October 2020 to October 2021 and further to April 2022. Due to illness, the concert is further postponed to November 2023. Tickets remain valid!

STING and his acclaimed “My Songs” tour come back to Germany in June and July 2020. From June 15 to July 20, 2020, the singer-songwriter performs in Cologne, Erfurt, Neu-Ulm, Halle/Westfalen, Berlin, Munich, Bonn, Würzburg, and Tüssling. Later in the year, the artist will play more shows, one of them on 14th October 2020 in Oberhausen! ==> The Obergausen Show now takes place on 24th November 2022.
