‘The Sacrament of Sin’ is the seventh studio album by the German Power Metal band POWERWOLF, released on 20 July 2018 by Napalm Records. Musically, the album is much more different than previous recordings. The expression of the organ has changed, the orchestra has been added and unusual elements such as bagpipes or flute and the band recorded a ballad accompanied by the piano for the first time in its history. The main theme of the album from the point of view of lyrics is sin, but it is not a concept album. The album was rated positively by the critics, highlighting mainly the new elements that POWERWOLF put in the music. The album also flourished commercially, ranked first in the German charts, and also ranked in several other countries. In support of the album, the band performed in Europe during 2018 and 2019. Official videos were released for ‘Demons Are a Girl’s Best Friend’, ‘Fire & Forgive’, ‘Incense & Iron’, ‘Killers with the Cross’, ‘The Sacrament of Sin’, ‘Stossgebet’ and ‘Where the Wild Wolves Have Gone’.

It’s been an extraordinary 25 years for ARCHIVE, spanning 12 studio albums that encapsulate restlessly inventive shifts in sound, vision and personnel that has ensured the music has remained fresh, dynamic and absorbing. To celebrate their anniversary ARCHIVE release ‘25’, a deluxe box set highlighting 43 tracks over six vinyl discs (or four CDs), with eight new compositions, including lead-off single ‘Remains Of Nothing’, a collaboration with Southampton’s Band Of Skulls. The vinyl box set also includes a 10” EP and exclusive 7” single (a collaboration with Steve Mason ex Beta Band), plus a 160 page book of contemporary interviews with current and former band members and photos from ARCHIVE’s private collections.

From 2005 to 2011, the French cult Synth Pop act WAITING FOR WORDS toured UK several times, visiting Coventry, Leamington, Birmingham, Leicester, Nuneaton or London, including some cult venues such as The Underworld or The Spa, building up a strong reputation of solid performers, mixing video screenings and powerful electronic rhythms (with an impressive live drummer), catchy Pop tunes and a stunning lead performer. Two intensive years touring the world followed by changes in the line-up, a cover album to celebrate the band’s 25th anniversary and most of all, two more years spent recording the critically acclaimed new album, ‘Egocracy’, took the band away from UK for quite sometimes.
