Since 1995, the band hailing from Seattle, founded by former NIRVANA drummer David Grohl, proved that it is more than a nine day wonder. Eponym for the band’s name is the expression for the UFOs that were watched during WW2. Seattle was back in the eighties the birthplace of the Grunge sound and of course the FOO FIGHTERS blend this influence in its sound of Post Grunge/ Alternative Rock/ Hard Rock. Eight studio albums, which had always good chart positions in several countries, are the result of the band’s long career.

Originally coming from a French steel industry area and becoming famous for creating an impressive musical scenery by drumming with axe handles on steel barrels, LES TAMBOURS DU BRONX stand for unique sounds for almost 30 years now. Even if the word “industrial“ could be used here in the true sense of the meaning, the band have also advanced their songwriting skills by integrating samples and electronic components into their music. Their very successful performance with Brazilian metal legend SEPULTURA at the Rock In Rio Festival was later released on the ‘Territory’ CD/DVD and Blu-ray.

If you want to see DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER live for another time, you should have a closer look on their tour dates in 2015. The band announces a considerable break and won’t play any show in 2016 (except Metalcamp (Slovenia) and another open-air). Until then, it will be really loud and hot once again, because the band ends this season with a bombshell:

Celebrate with us the party of your life and THE ABSOLUTE REITERMANIA! We thought a lot about it and now we present a top-notch three-day festival for you: »Das letzte Abendmahl«. It will take place from December 25th to December 27th, 2015 in Jena. For now, it will be the last chance to see us on stage, because we will have a considerable live break. At the same time with the festival, our self-written biography, »Wie der Weltuntergang Teil meines Lebens wurde«, will be released. In it, we look back to 20 years of DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER.
