When BEYOND OBSESSION released their debut ‘Listen Learn and Speak’ 18 months ago, not only were the critics thrilled and praising this ascending star in the pop sky. But they also caused a sensation with hits like ‘On my Way’, ‘Nothing Like That’ or ‘Tokio Underground’ in the clubs. Since that, a lot has happened for the guys surrounding Nils Upahl, singer and mastermind of the synth pop trio from the Northeast of the Republic. The Gentle Storm, featuring the talents of Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon, Star One, Guilt Machine) & Anneke van Giersbergen (The Gathering, Devin Townsend Project), are set to release the debut album ‘The Diary’ on the 23rd March 2015, and with just 2 weeks to go before its launch, they are pleased to reveal the gentle version of the track ‘Shores of India’ which you can listen to HERE. Anneke had this to say: “I immediately loved the mysterious and exotic melodies on 'Shores Of India’. It must have been overwhelming for these sailors to encounter such a different and wonderful culture in the 17th century. We really tried to put ourselves in their position and capture their amazement. There is a big difference in how we approached the vocals on both versions, because musically there is a different intensity between the ‘gentle’- and ‘storm' interpretation, but the lyrics and emotions remain the same. It has been such a great experience working on that with Arjen.”- Details

40 years MOTÖRHEAD - and never quiet. There are more reasons than usual to celebrate those rock music icons: stage anniversary, a new record in autumn, Lemmy turning 70 in December and there will be tours and festival appearances worldwide: At the moment, the band is in studio with their long-time producer Cameron Webb recording their 22nd record which will be released in autumn 2015.
