Founding KISS guitarist and 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Ace Frehley has tapped long time friend and artist Ken Kelly to create the album cover for his upcoming LP SPACE INVADER, due out July 7th. Kelly, who created the iconic cover art for two of KISS’s best selling LPS, Destroyer (1976) and Love Gun (1977), says, "It was very exciting when I was approached with the idea of doing an album cover for Ace."

Hardcore heroes Every Time I Die will release a new album From Parts Unknown on June 27 via Epitaph Records. "Thirst" is the first cut and the video is the first half of a short series. It could have been easy for Every Time I Die to go on autopilot. After sixteen years as a band they know what works and could go on doing the same thing – but that would be "boring and baseless," according to vocalist Keith Buckley. "Instead of making something that the kids can all sing along to, we wanted to make music that scares them," he adds.- Details

All good things come in threes... and exactly three bands have been missing in our line-up for 2014. Today we are happy to announce the opening bands of each day - just one month before this year's Blackfield Festival at the Amphitheater Gelsenkirchen. In cooperation with Sonic Seducer we have again given newcomer bands the chance to present themselves at our festival. This year's first "Battle Of The Bands“ contest for Friday was won by AUSTERITY COMPLEX. You can see them at 4:45 pm. Saturday starts with an electronic noise brunch not to be missed: at 11 am TERROLOKAUST are going to demonstrate their Spanish temperament on stage! The third winner is FORMALIN who you can see on Sunday. The festival takes place from 20th to 22nd June in Gelsenkirchen.
