Iceland Airwaves has announced more artists slated to perform at Iceland Airwaves, taking place in Reykjavík November 5-9. Tickets are on sale now. The War on Drugs (US), who will be closing the festival on Nov 9 with Flaming Lips. Current Line-up: Caribou (CA), Future Islands (US), Oyama, Farao (NO), Kaleo, Zhala (SE), Spray Paint (US), Rökkurró, Emilie Nicolas (NO), Endless Dark, Kippi Kaninus, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard (AU), Brain Police, Beneath, Þórir Georg, Fufanu, Epic Rain, Skurken, AMFJ, Kontinuum, Ophidian I, Var, Atónal Blús, Mafama, Vio, Lucy in Blue, Conflictions, Each Iceland Airwaves festival sees artists from all over the world perform in Reykjavík. On June 13, 2014 Swedish Industrial Rockers DEATHSTARS will release their upcoming album 'The Perfect Cult' via Nuclear Blast. Now the band has published the first album trailer, in which they reveal background information on the production of their highly anticipated new creation. The trailer is available at the Nuclear Blast YouTube channel. 'The Perfect Cult' has been captured in several studios: drums, guitars and bass were recorded in Bohus Sound Recording, Kungälv Sweden, vocals in Gig Studios in Stockholm, Sweden and keyboards, orchestration and editing was done in Black Syndicate, Stockholm. While the mix as usual was handled by legendary Stefan Glaumann (RAMMSTEIN, WITHIN TEMPTATION), guitarist/ keyboardist Nightmare took care of the production from bottom to top. For the drum-, guitar- and bass-production, Nightmare worked together with Roberto Laghi (ENTOMBED, IN FLAMES) at Bohus Sound Recording.- Details

German melodic death metallers Emergency Gate are taking it to the next level, announcing the first dates of their upcoming world tour. Needless to say, a tour of these proportions needs a brand new album to go along with it, which also seems to be home and dry. The new album will be called “Infected” and is set to be released punctually for the kick-off of the Wacken Road Show on September 26th. Statement by bass player Mario: “It feels unreal. When I started the band “Emergency Gate” many years ago, I (and probably any other musician out there) had the dream and, at the same time, the goal to go on a world tour. This dream is going to be fulfilled! We will be touring Europe, Asia and Australia and we will be performing at several festivals such as the Nova Rock Festival, Austria, together with our friend and special guest Haddaway. - Details
