As the release of their third full-length Hail Death draws near, Vice's mega music gateway Noisey offers up a premiere of Still Reborn from New York black metal unit BLACK ANVIL. Stream Still Reborn at Noisey in the Netherlands here or Noisey USA here. A blasting onslaught of bestial riffs and scathing vocal torrents, the nine-minute track opens what is inarguably the band's most lethal and ambitious manifestation to date. Captured at Magpie Cage Studio by J. Robbins, Hail Death remains true to the band's roots while still transcending them in a way that weaves all of their seemingly contrasting influences into an amalgam of heavy music that's as original as it is devouring.

The second single from Savage Gold is being exclusively premiered via The A.V. Club. The song "Deathtripper" can be heard here. Brooklyn, New York's TOMBS' are set to release their new album Savage Gold on June 10th (North America), June 9th (UK/ Europe/ World), and June 6th (Germany/ Benelux/ Finland). Renowned tattooist Thomas Hooper who is responsible for the band's previous album covers created the stunning artwork. Singer Mike Hill spoke about "Deathtripper”: "I actually wrote the lyrics for this song back in the late 90's when I was living in Boston. I was going through a period where I was sleeping on someone's couch and living out of a gym bag. I went through some old journal entries and found the lyrics written out. They seemed to fit the vibe of the instrumental tracks."

Diabolical Death/ Black Metal giants BELPHEGOR have just revealed the cover design of their forthcoming album 'CONJURING THE DEAD'. The artwork was created by Greek artist, Seth Siro Anton who also painted the cover of 'Pestapokalypse IV' in 2006. Helmuth comments: "The spectacular cover, the offensive lyrical content, the Death Musick. BELPHEGOR´s nine new sound collages are a new dimension of intensity and dynamics." Seth adds: "Once you can customize the basic principles of Renaissance painting and deriving energy/data from chaotic reservoir of unconscious,...you get BELPHEGOR´s "CONJURING THE DEAD" cover art."

Scion AV Presents Red Fang, a two-song release which will be available as a limited edition 7” along the band’s upcoming Situation: AWESOME! tour in the US, is available for download now via Noisey (“The Meadows”) and Alternative Press (“The Shadows”). The Portland quartet earlier announced European live dates for the summer, including various festival appearances. RED FANG released Whales and Leeches in October, with the eleven-song album quickly becoming the band's best-selling and most critically acclaimed release to date. The band performed single Blood Like Cream on The Late Show with David Letterman in January (link) and also issued a hilarious video for the song, featuring Portlandia creator/Late Night with Seth Meyers' bandleader Fred Armisen and the band members during an unusual zombie invasion (link).
