Billy F Gibbons announced the “revival” of THE BFGS, his livewire solo band, set to perform in Leipzig in summer 2023. The trio, led by Billy F Gibbons on guitar and vocals, drummer Matt Sorum (THE CULT, GUNS’N’ROSES, VELVET REVOLVER) and left-handed guitarist Mr. Austin Hanks who provides the ensemble’s heavy bass and rhythm.

But with Ballenstedt Castle, the promoters have found a truly memorable venue with a spectacular setting and an intimate atmosphere. As far as the selection of the bands is concerned, the decision was made again in 2023 to counteract the often-repetitive classic headliners with a coherent and high-quality line up.
