In September, Pet Shop Boys will release a new album, entitled "Elysium", on Parlophone. The album was produced in Los Angeles by Andrew Dawson and Pet Shop Boys. To give an idea of the album’s sound, a short film for the album track “Invisible” can be viewed on http://www.petshopboys.co.uk/. The film was made by renowned Los Angeles artist/film-maker Brian Bress. Like several tracks on “Elysium”, “Invisible” features backing vocals by singer/songwriter James Fauntleroy and veteran singers Oren, Maxine and Julie Waters whose long singing career spans sessions with The Jackson Five to Adele.

The Pogues
For everyone who's got at least a slight interest in Irish folk-punk knows about THE POGUES, who are deemed founder of a genre that is still entertaining lots and lots of people and continuously acquires more fans. Founded in 1981 as THE NEW REPUBLICANS the band changed their name pressured by their record company. Their first album contained both original songs and Irish folklore. The second album marked their commercial and artistic success, which the band were not able to take advantage of as anyone would have expected. Following the flop album 'Pogue Mahone'; they called it quits eventually, leaving a stirring heritage, which would be a shame to leave it dormant, wouldn't it? Right, so the band got back together years later to play some acclaimed reunion shows and in 2012 fans will get to see the this legend live in Cologne. Don't miss it!
