Swedish riff gods GRAND MAGUS have just released the cover artwork of their upcoming masterpiece “The Hunt”. The cover art was done by Arik Roper (CATHEDRAL, HIGH ON FIRE, SLEEP), he also did the cover artwork of the GRAND MAGUS album “Iron Will”. JB commented: "Arik Roper is a super-talented artist and we've had the pleasure of working with him before when he did the cover art for our album Iron Will. This time around with the overall feel and lyrical themes of our new album THE HUNT, Arik was the perfect choice once again. We basicallly just gave him the title and he created one of the most haunting and suggestive images ever seen. He totally nailed what the album is all about. To say we are pleased is a gigantic understatement! This piece of art will stand the test of time and become classic." “The Hunt” will be released May 25, 2012 via Nuclear Blast.

DYING FETUS have confirmed a June 25 release date (in Europe) for their new album entitled Reign Supreme. The album will feature nine tracks and is a "return to roots" with production focused slightly more on slam than in the band's last few works. Thematically, the album is set to be a good old-fashioned piece of social and political commentary in the style of DYING FETUS as we have come to know.The album artwork for Reign Supreme has been revealed and can be viewed on the latest official album video teaser for Reign Supreme HERE. The teaser also contains the first samples of new music from the album.

On March 12, 2012 a select group of special fans known as The Circle, who represent MANOWAR's worldwide fan base, were invited to a private pre-listening session of the forthcoming new MANOWAR album, as well as a tour of Wisseloord Studios, Netherlands where the album will be mixed and mastered. MANOWAR bassist Joey DeMaio, and long-time collaborators Mixing Engineer Ronald Prent and Grammy award winning Mastering Engineer Darcy Proper provided insight into the making of a record, and the specific requirements in the production for a band that is world-renowned for a sound that is louder than any other band and yet equally clear and perfect.

A new full song “Mass Frustration” from the Denmark based groove metal band CHAINFIST can be streamed below. Mass Frustration: http://soundcloud.com/rockngrowl/chainfist-mass-frustration. "Mass Frustration” was recorded at Six String Studios with Søren Jensen behind the wheel and mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios. The group, which recently signed a worldwide management deal with Germany’s Rock N Growl Management, consists of the following musicians: Jackie Petersen (vocals), Michael Kopietz (guitar), Thomas Hvisel (Guitar), Jesper Heidelbach (drums) and Braca Pedersen (bass). CHAINFIST are currently recording the band’s second, yet untitled album. The new material is stronger, heavier and even more melodic than the songs on the debut CD “Black Out Sunday“.
