An Appointment with Mr Yeats sees the words of W.B. Yeats, one of Ireland's greatest literary sons, merged with the music of The Waterboys, one of Britain and Ireland's greatest rock bands, in a truly unique and ambitious musical undertaking.
The album features an extended Waterboys line-up including fiddle maestro Steve Wickham, new Irish singer Katie Kim, multi-instrumentalist Kate St. John, Flook flautist Sarah Allen and Catalan trombonist Blaise Margail. An Appointment with Mr Years draws on fourteen of Yeats' poems, spanning both famous and lesser known works, from the wry to the romantic, the political to the mythological, all invigorated with the energy and exuberance of The Waterboys.

Dark was yesterday, now is orange! The successor of Dark Suns' "Grave Human Genuine" epic from 2008 will be called "Orange" and is tentatively scheduled for release in late 2011. Since Fursy Teyssier's work on the artwork of Arctic Plateau's debut album "On A Sad Sunny Day" a special artistic relationship has flourished between the masterminds of the musical projects Les Discrets and Arctic Plateau. Now this friendship is being celebrated with the release of a limited split EP.
"Les Discrets / Arctic Plateau" is out on September 2nd and will be available as Digisleeve 2CD (ltd. 1.000) and vinyl LP (ltd. 500).

Today, and as part of a special about the Wacken Open Air festival, there will be a 60-minutes feature of SUBWAY TO SALLY, airing on ZDFkultur. Between 6:55 PM and 7:55 PM you can see footage of the band's show last Sunday as well as an interview feature. Within the scopes of that show the band presented two songs off their upcoming new album, released on 23rd September.
