Some news fresh off the organizers HQ:
The first scene festival in Hamburg had a successful start in 2011 and we are now on the blocks to prepare round 2 in 2012! Originally we were planning the weekend of 6th & 7th July 2012 for the 2nd edition, but due to a big public event in Hamburg we are forced to move the date by one week.
On 13 and 14 July 2012 Markthalle and Stadtpark will open their gates for nordstern visitors.
First of all we would like to thank this year's 1900 fans for their constructive feedback. We were overwhelmed by the number of positive comments but at the same time are working on the few negative points which basically refered to the seating situation at Stadtpark and the re-entry to the Stadtpark venue.

WETO started as the musical main point of interest for future SCHANDMAUL members. First thing they did after forming was to play every gig around town they could get hold of to build a reputation for themselves. But the big breakthrough didn't happen, even after releasing their debut records. Instead it was their former side project SCHANDMAIL gaining praise all over the place and in 2000 WETO was put on hiatus. Around 2006 it is decided to bring the band back from the dead. Said, done. At the end of 2006 the first new album in years, entitled 'Das Zweite Ich', holding old and new compositions and instead of SCHANDMAUL are putting the emphasis on harsh guitars ans socially critical lyrics, reflecting the present.

Kscope is pleased to announce Falling Deeper, the new, fully orchestral album from Anathema. The album will be released on 18th September. Falling Deeper continues where the acclaimed 2008 album Hindsight left off. The album features brand new arrangements of songs and haunting melodies from the band's earliest days as pioneers and co-creators of an entire genre of heavy music.
Falling Deeper is a mesmerising blend of the orchestral - majestic and at times ethereal - with beautiful vocal arrangements and Anathema's unique 'feedback' lead guitars, all centred around a grand piano and a huge rhythm section.

On 3rd September 2011 the second E-tropolis Festival will take place at the Columbia compound in Berlin. Few days before the festival, we are sorry to inform you about a recent change in the line-up. Due to health issues, Rotersand had to step back from the festival line-up. Though the band would have loved to play the festival, they are very sad not being able to perform. Please read their following statement:
"We are sorry to announce that we needed to cancel our show at the E-tropolis-Festival in Berlin on Sep 3rd 2011. Rasc's recovery process is going well, but playing a show would be too early for him. A big 'thank you' to everyone, who left 'get well soon'-wishes in our guestbook / facebook-page...."
