Norwegian Avant-Garde Metallers VULTURE INDUSTRIES have entered the studio to begin recording the follow up to their 2007 debut full-length album “The Dystopia Journals”. The new album is expected to contain 7 tracks, and come in at somewhere between 40 and 45 minutes in length. As is usual with VULTURE INDUSTRIES, they will be using the Conclave and Earshot Studios, which is owned by the band’s front man Bjornar E. Nilsen, who, aside from his vocal duties with VI and BLACK HOLE GENERATOR, is also a producer. - Details

FINNTROLL exclusively uploaded a making-of of their brand-new video to the song ‘Solsagan’ on Youtube. You can watch the video here. The making-of already gives a foretaste of the finished clip, premiering on Myspace on 15th January 2010. The video has been produced by Vasara Films, having produced for instance the recent DVDs of DARK TRANQUILITY and TURISAS. The new album ‘Nifelvind’ has been produced at “Sonic Pump Studios” in Helsinki and mastered by Mika Jussila at “Finnvox Studios”. Guitarist Skrymer also designed the artwork of the new album as he used to on past releases. The album hits stores on 19th February 2010.Source: Newsletter

Mülheim’s Castle Rock festival, meanwhile advanced to cult status, enters its eleventh year in 2010 and also in the next year will come up with a top line-up leaving nothing to be desired for fans of darkly romantic rock music and brachial sounds. With EISBRECHER it’s once more getting ice cold at the castle when the group sets sails for Mülheim. They’ll bring their new album as well and show that they’re shooting stars of the past festival season for a good reason. Next act celebrating a reunion with Mülheim and Castle Rock is LETZTE INSTANZ, who with their balancing act between Pop, Goth Rock, Classical Music and Metal meeting deep German lyrics will once again make the air and the attendee’s feet boil.
