After two successful years at Zitadelle Spandau, the Zita rock festival really gears up next year and completes the dozen. Under the name “Zita Rock & Folk Festival 2010” a total of 12 bands will unleash huge riffs and hard beats upon you on 2 days from 5th to 6th June 2010. Fitting the impressing renaissance scenery of the festival, the Zita rock has been expanded musically and now presents a rousing mixture of the best acts in gothic, medieval and folk rock.

She is an exceptional vocalist and most notable as being the second half of the legendary duo DEAD CAN DANCE which broke up in 1998 and he is deemed as the synth pope and while that surely is an over the top statement of some press representative there can be no doubt about the fact that he’s one of the most significant and influential actors of the electronic music scene. We’re talking about KLAUS SCHULZE & LISA GERRARD who came together thanks to a busy manager and with ‘Farscape’ (2008) created a monument of sound, followed by the Live CDs/DVDs 'Rheingold' and 'Dziekuje Bardzo-Vielen Dank'. In September 2009 these two exceptional artists are going to play two exclusive shows in Germany and on 22nd September Essen’s Lichtburg is the place to be for fans of extraordinary sound art and vocal talent.

The Berlin-based project EDEN WEINT IM GRAB will release a very special album on 6th November 2009, comprising poems of the Austrian expressionist Georg Trakl (1887-1914) instead of own lyrics. Following the dark metal albums ‘Traumtrophäen Toter Trauertänzer’and ‘Trauermarsch Nach Neotopia’, this album is a foray into new musical territory and can’t be classified as metal anymore. Actually, you can’t even call them “Songs” for ‘Der Herbst des Einsamen’ contains 12 sinister sound collages, blended to a diversified mixture somewhere between music, lyric recitation and radio drama with the help of film score elements, horror movie atmospheres and ambient sounds.- Details

On 25th September, a new chapter opens for FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND with the release of ‘Your History is Mine’, their first greatest hits album. The disc is meant as a retrospective on the impressing career of the Welsh band from their early days to the present. Besides the 12 singles from the previous albums, the collection also comprises 4 new songs, including the new single 'Wrench'. For 4 decades, KRAFTWERK are acknowledged as pioneers of electronic pop music. October 2009 sees the re-release of the 8 KRAFTWERK albums that all underwent a technical revision and a digital Kling Klang 2009 re-mastering. The artwork was re-constructed and enhanced with previously unreleased photos and computer graphics from the KRAFTWERK archives.
