The schedule for the festival is almost complete with just a little fine-tuning lying ahead of us. In the meantime 2/3 of all available tickets have been sold and with this interim’s result we can relate to the successes of the last few years. Besides the challenge to put up a diverse and interesting musical program, we’re constantly working on organisational improvements. An actual focus of the work is the ongoing Anti-Garbage campaign. In collaboration with our partners of Gastro Team Bremen cooled beverages + deposit cam be offered this year at much cheaper prices on the camping grounds. On several easily accessible corners of the area you can buy 0.5 litres of beer for just 1 EUR. For the same price you’ll get 1.5 litres of water + deposit of course. Within the scopes of the above mentioned campaign we’re also aiming to reduce the amount of garbage. Statistically speaking every attendee of the Hurricane festival leaves about 5 kilos of garbage. Not just a little part of the garbage consists of drink packaging. - Details

Finally it’s happening and we’re pleased to announce the dates of the upcoming ‘Of Faith, Power & Glory’ tour. The first leg of the tour will lead the band through 9 European countries. More shows in different countries a planned for a later point in time. The first show is taking place at Rostock’s Mau Club to where the band’s finally returning to be guests. The last show, how surprising, will be a home game at the Docks club in Hamburg. As first confirmed support act ROTERSAND will accompany VNV NATION on this leg with new material and contribute their fair share to deliver a great package for the fans. With new songs off their upcoming new album with the working title ‘The World Is Too Big For One Lifetime’ and the hits of its predecessors ‘Spawn of Dysfunction’ and ‘Not Everybody Gets a Happy Ending’ the clubs all over Europe will be rocking and here are the dates:

EMI Music's Virgin Records is pleased to announce that it has signed a new worldwide deal with Los Angeles rock band 30 Seconds to Mars. 30 Seconds to Mars, fronted by vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter Jared Leto, is currently in the studio in Los Angeles recording their third album with acclaimed producer Flood, known for his work with U2, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, and Smashing Pumpkins. Due this fall, the as-yet-untitled album is the follow-up to 2005's platinum-selling A Beautiful Lie, which sold more than three million albums and singles worldwide and spawned two Top 10 Modern Rock singles, ‘From Yesterday’ and ‘The Kill’. The latter set a radio record for the longest-running hit in the history of Modern Rock radio play when it remained on the national airplay chart for more than 50 weeks following its No. 3 peak in 2006. ‘From Yesterday’ was the band's first No. 1 at the format. Its epic video was the first American music video ever shot in the People's Republic of China.- Details
