Amanda Somerville will release her own solo album 'Window' on 8th May. She became well known in the gothic-metal scene as a guest vocalist on Kamelot, Epica and Edguy albums. Also she was a special guest on the recent Kamelot tour. No suprise that this new album will be symphonic but also with roots in the pop scene. Amanda says about it: ,,Since most of my time was spent doing studio work for other bands, Windows has been about five years in the making. That’s also partly why the songs are so multi-faceted. I did a lot of evolving in that time period and was certainly influenced by the metal music I was working on. A couple of tracks are even borderline metal. But I’m diverse and it’s all still 100% me."
