The last weekend of June is always reserved for Castle Rock festival, that took place in 2000 for the first time. While many festivals in Germany exclude children and or those under the age of 16, Castle Rock welcomes everyone. The festival ground, located in front of Broich castle, is a unique one and offers plenty of space in downtown Mülheim.
Those who went there always come back, for the organizers spare no effort to offer amazing service to the visitors with high quality reasonably priced food offers and clean facilities all over the place. Over the years, the festival established a sold fanbase and a line-up that you would expect at larger festivals. Bands like AMORPHIS, ESIBRECHER or EPICA are among those bands who rocked the castle grounds. 2023 will see the festival welcoming plenty of Goth bands like LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE, Finnish Goth N’ Roll band THE 69 EYES, who will perform songs from their latest release ‘Death of Darkness’ live on stage, END OF GREEN, WARKINGs and many more.
