More than 11 million albums sold, awarded with Grammies, Mercury Prize and MTV Music Awards as well as announcing the giant hit ‘Chasing Cars’ as “Songs of the Decade“, SNOW PATROL count without any doubt as one of the most successful bands Great Britain’s.
Three years ago, the band released the hit album 'A Hundred Million Suns' containing hit singles 'Crack The Shutters' and 'Take Back The City'. On 11th November 2011, the new, sixth studio album ‘Fallen Empires’ hit the stores. It was recorded on several locations in the USA and musically supported by, among others, the LA City Mass Gospel Choir, Michael Stipe (R.E.M.), Troy van Leeuwen (Queens Of The Stone Age, Sweethead) and Lissie. This album shows SNOW PARTOL as a multi-talented and experimenting band still not losing its sense for great melodies.
In February and March 2012, the quintet around singer Gary Lightbody will be finally back in Germany again. Besides their greatest hits, SNOW PATROL will surely also present their current album ‘Fallen Empires’. On 26th February, the band will visit the Mitsubishi-Electric Halle, Düsseldorf.
